Now I know what you are thinking, he is the most beautiful baby you have ever seen! Well you are right, he is gorgeous. We are so proud.
So let me give you a bit of the story. Yesterday I was in a meeting (in the Superintendent's office mind you) and Katie from Dillon called my office. My friend Julie answered the phone. Katie asked if I was in and Julie said, no she is in a meeting. Katie said, oh, well have her call me, we have some exciting news. Well, of course, Julie has been with us along this journey and she was just going nuts to know what the exciting news is. Because she knows we were on the waiting list. She called over to his office and had his secretary pull me out of the meeting! I thought, man what is wrong. I picked up the phone, and she said.....you have to come over here NOW. I said...what is wrong? She told me what happened. Of course I am just shaking because it has to be our referral, Dillon doesn't usually call out of the blue like that and if they needs some kind of papers, they usually email us. So I went back into the office, don't remember a word he said, then I looked at him and said....do you need me anymore? (We were meeting with secondary principals, and other administrators.) He looked at me kind of funny and said...well, yeah I guess. So I took off! I drive up...Julie is hanging out the window screaming......come on...run. I call and Katie tells me the best news of my life! what a wonderful job!
I got off the phone, called Mark. I said, hey daddy.....he said...what? I said it again, he said...are you serious! So I waited for the email with the picture. Seemed like forever! But it was probably like 4 minutes, and when I opened the picture, I cannot describe to you what I felt. I instantly started crying! He was the most beautiful person in the world, and I could not believe how much I loved him at that very second. How can you fall in love with someone you have never MET?
I have yet to stop smiling from ear to ear! I am sure I look like an idiot! But I don't care. Now the hard wait begins. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I cannot tell you how much we have been blessed. I have prayed so hard for this baby and God has granted our request. God picked this beautiful child and I promise to take care of him and love him with all my heart. He will grow up in the Lord!
So, if anyone from church is reading this post, and you are angry because we have not called you yet....Mark made me wait, he wants to surprise everyone, so PLEASE, don't say anything! We love everyone and thank you for your prayers and encouragement. It has meant so much.
