Videos

I have a couple of real short videos to share of Dylan. This first video shows how he gets around right now. We say he is "not" mobile, but in a sense, he is. This is how he crawls.

The physical therapy is really starting to pay off. He actually rolled over onto his tummy by himself this week. He tried to push up into the crawl position. He is starting to try new things.

This is the first time we have been on our own for several days without daddy. He left on Monday. We had some sleep problems this week. I think Dylan must know that daddy is gone and this is not right. This mama is very tired and he won't nap so that makes it even worse. Right now....we are fighting a nap as I type. He thinks he is getting away with it, but little does he know...he is GOING to nap! Never underestimate the power of a bottle. The doctor has kept us on formula. With him being malnourished...we are going to stay on bottles for at least another 2-3 mos. Although, he is doing pretty good at trying new foods. He ate some guacamole (sp?), floor tortillas, cheese, vanilla wafer, and we are doing #3 baby food. So he is progressing. We go to the doctor again tomorrow. He has to do the required blood work and I think some shots. So that will NOT be fun.

This week he was also introduced to bubbles. He laughs like crazy when they pop on his nose. I caught a video of him watching bubbles.

I am trying to get to a point where I can update more than once a week. If someone would nap...that might be possible. Saturday is his birthday party...so I am sure there will be great pictures to follow.

You guys are doing so great! My husband is a traveller too, and one of the first lessons that I learned is that the hardest days (sleepless ones, sick ones, doctor visits, etc) will ALWAYS come when Dad is gone. Just take good care of yourself if you can, and don't worry about getting anything else done!
