Day 87 - Belated Birthday

Well, last night we celebrated Nana's birthday a week late.  She was in Washington DC on her birthday, so we had a family dinner last night.  The boy LOVES celebrating birthday's!  He get so excited.  And seeing as he is totally into baking (Leigh and Julie, he needs to come hang out with you), he was most excited about making a birthday cake.  He decided that Nana must have a princess cake.  So that is what she had!  We bought little princess candies that have castle, crowns, and magic wands to put on the cake.  Then he wanted to pick out a present for her.  We went to the store.  He picked out a "lovely" Dora birthday card.  He said he was going to buy her a barbie, because that is for girls.  Well luckily for Nana, we got to the jewerly first, so he thought a nice heart necklace would work.  So we wished her a belated birthday.  (any idea why we called it belated, instead of just Late??)
