Day 65 - Mr. Independent!

Well, daddy is at the basketball game tonight, so it is just me and the boy.  We have danced, played cooking, played blocks, played puppets, been very busy.  Lately, he has been quite bossy.  It is a struggle for me....seeing as that is MY role!  So we have butted heads quite a bit this weekend.

I walked into the kitchen and I found him with his Mac and Cheese container out.  He had opened it and was pouring the cheese in.  I got onto him telling him he needs to ask before he just starts cooking!  He just helps himself to what he wants.  I hear a lot, I do it myself!  SIGH!

This week is DUCK week at school.  "Doing Unselfish Charitable act for Kids.  It is a wonderful thing that the district does.  They pick a student who is in need and raise LARGE amounts of money for them.  Everyone comes together, it is spearheaded by the HS student council.  So we are participating.  He is doing things around the house to raise coins for Cora Beth.  Plus they have a week of stuff, dress up like favorite character, wear favorite colors, favorite team day, etc.  I don't think he quite gets what he is doing, but we are trying.  I like that the school does this.  People should do kind things for others.
