Day 31 - Seriously Snowmageddon 2011

No joke, that is what they are calling it!  So I just went outside to take out trash, not a drop in the sky, not a flake on the ground.  The wind has definitely kicked up, but I mean this is not normal.  The whole city has literally shut down for tomorrow.

All schools are cancelled. (a couple are still holding out, but they will cave shortly).  The Governor declared a State of Emergency, and the Mayor has asked all businesses to please close for tomorrow!  OK, I understand being prepared, but this is nuts!!! I mean we are depending on our weathermen to be accurate, seriously, OK weathermen???  I don't know, awful risky.  Imagine, if it is 50 degrees tomorrow, a LOT of people will have egg on their face.

Also, lets talk about the run on the grocery stores.  COME on people.  I mean clearing off the shelves, you would think we are going to be in the house for 2-3 weeks without power and cut off from the world.  No drinking water, no nothing!  Seriously, it is OK for goodness sake, how long will it really last??? 2 maybe 3 days at the most.  Gee Whiz, by the time the weekend gets here, it will probably be 70 degrees again.

They are probably right, we will probably get a bunch of snow and the wind is howling so it will probably be like last Christmas.  Yes, that was a lot, yes, that was a mess, more than I have ever seen.  Yes people were stuck for a couple of days in the drifts on the road, but I think we could have at least waited until there was actually something happening outside!  Should be interesting.

Flash back, Christmas 2009 - That's a LOT of snow!

Now don't get me wrong, I am happy to have the day off, shoot, I will take the next 3 if they give it to me.  No problem here sleeping in tomorrow, staying in the house, eating junk food and playing with the fam.  But this just all seems a little ridiculous....just sayin!

(I think I should probably go back and count how many times I said seriously....thanks Kerrie for that bad habit!)
