You Guessed it!!!

Leave it to my pals to guess the big secret! Yes, we are adopting baby number 2. In mid to late 2011 Dylan will have a baby sister!!! We are adopting a baby girl from Nepal. We are very excited about this. It is a funny story.

We had thought last year about possible adoption from the Phillipines. But we had some issues going on with Dylan and decided that maybe we should just put it on hold. We never filled out the paper work, we received an app but that is as far as we got. It just didn't feel right (hard to explain). But then about a month ago I was on Dillon's website and saw all the new countries. Nepal sounded interesting, and it felt like someone was poking me trying to tell me something. I showed Mark and he said....we should check to see if there are openings for this year. So I sent and email. We went out to dinner with friends and we were talking about their possible next adoption. Well, we found out they had just signed up for Nepal. They then told us, they were family number 10. (one of the rules is only 10 families each year). We had decided if we couldn't get in this year, we wouldn't do it.

Well, we didn't say anything and on the way home decided, well that's it. I wouldn't say I was devasted, just a bit disappointed and thought...well, guess it wasn't meant to be. Well, that next Monday an email popped in and said....What wonderful timing! A family just dropped out, we have one slot left! I guess that poking was not imagined! We really believe that God has something planned for us and so we are going forward. Who are we to argue with HIM?

So here we go again!! We don't expect to see a picture until 2011, so it will be a while. But app2 is underway.....let the paper chase begin. Did I tell you we are going through the process again with our friends the Nimmo's?? (Cole's parents) Isn't that cool??? So, check back, the blog will be back in action!!!
