Time Flies!

We have been home for 3 weeks, I can't believe it. Dylan has changed a lot in those 3 weeks. He is doing great. He gained a WHOLE pound this week!!! We are very excited. He now weighs 15lbs 10 oz. He also grew an inch! He is now 27 1/2 in long. This is great news, because he needs to "bulk" up so he can catch up with his motor skills. We still go to the therapist each week. He spends an hour with her. She said she could tell a difference in him this week, he has better head control. He is also sitting up much better (when he wants to) and much straighter. He LOVES being on his feet. He can stand up if he is holding onto something.

He has gotten very vocal! He makes all kinds of sounds and it seems he loves the sound of his own voice. He is still only saying mum ma and babbling other sounds. Mark has taught him to head butt a ball (like a soccer player). If you hold a ball up in front of him, he will lean in and hit it with his head. It is pretty funny. He has been waving hello and bye bye to pretty much everyone. Especially himself in the mirror. He is quite a character. He cracks himself (and mama) up all the time. He learned to pull off his socks this week. He has been working at it with his teeth, but today, he finally pulled them off with his hands. He was so proud of himself.
Next week is his 1st birthday. We went all out with the decorations.

We also took our first zoo trip today. We met Zak and Cole at the zoo and had a good time. I don't know how into the animals Dylan was, but he looked at a few of them. His favorite part was the carousel. He had a good time riding that! When I stood him up to watch the sea lions swim by, he watched them very closely, but when they came close to the window, he would grasp my hands tight.

Nana was here, she will be unable to attend the birthday party next week, so we bought a small cake so she could experience the whole "stick your hands in the cake." We were in the store and Dylan "picked out" the cake he wanted. Basically, he just reached and Nana said...that's what he wants. So of course...she bought it. We stripped him down, put him on the table and tried to get him to put his hands in the cake. Well, he freaked out! It was kind of funny to us...but not to him. When he was looking at his present, he kept looking over at that cake like....get it out of here. I will leave you with some pictures.
