Saturday evening we went to dinner with 2 couples we will be traveling with. We all accepted referrals at the same time, all have boys, all have login dates together, and our boys are living together in the orphanage in Can Tho. All of our boys are within a couple of months in age, so we are all excited to think they can grow up together.
Anyway, one of the girls attended the reception for Ha Crick (read the article about her) who works in Vietnam with all of the orphanages. She has been in the states this week. At the reception, she saw pictures of our boys. So I hope to have an updated picture sometime this week. I have been dying for a new picture. In fact, I was not able to concentrate on my work today because all I could think about was "there is a picture out there that I don't have yet!" So I hope to get that soon.
Anyway, she told us that Ha told her about the orphanage. It is apparently run by the Red Cross and is very nice. She said, they pretty much had everything they need there. Not that any of the orphanages are terrible or anything, but this one seems to have more than most. So our boys are being take care of and are in really nice surroundings. So that helps just a little bit. She also said that not only is Dylan eating formula, but has had rice cereal as well. So it is nice to know a little something.
We are still waiting on provincial approval. Our paperwork is in Dylan's province, they will approve it and send our paperwork, along with his paperwork, back to Hanoi at that point. So we are waiting to hear about that approval. Most people have taken about 4 weeks to get this, but each orphanage is different, so who knows.
Anyway, we had a great time with our new friends, and I hope to have a new picture to show in a few days. Pray it comes fast, because this Mommy is about to go completely insane!!!!!

I really wish I didn't live so far so I could have attended. I would have loved to meet you guys and the other families as well.
I hope you guys get some good news on provincial approval soon!
I would have loved to be at the reception! Unfortunately, we aren't close either. I can't wait to see the new picture of your little guy and I hope you hear something from the province soon!
